Gran Melia Heads to Shanghai
Dec 11, 2009Designed by Spanish architect Alvaro Sans, the 686-room Gran Melia Shanghai will open this weekend as the Spanish brand's first project in China. Boasting a modern minimalist elegance, the hotel has four dining venues, a Cuban music bar, lobby bar, and rooftop lounge. The hotel's event space includes include 17 meeting rooms, a ballroom that can accommodate 800 guests, and a business center.
The REDLevel, Gran Melia's premium room category, will serve as an exclusive retreat with 119 rooms, 12 suites, one Presidential Suite and one Imperial Suite. In addition to the standard deluxe amenities offered, REDLevel guests will enjoy a private check-in area and lounge. Hotel guests also have access to YHI Spa and a comprehensive health club.
